Tips to Crack JEE 2022

Every engineering aspirant will dream of pursuing their engineering in IITs and other prestigious institutions. For this dream to come true, they have to clear the JEE Main exam. National Testing Agency conducts this online test. Till 2020, the JEE Main exam was conducted in two sessions. Students could attempt in the month of January or in April. They could opt to appear for one exam or both the exams. The better of the two NTA scores was considered by the exam conducting authority in preparing the rank list. 

Students have to work hard to clear the JEE main exam. In 2022, the JEE Main will be conducted in four sessions. The JEE Main 2022 will start from February and go on until May 2022. The first session of the JEE Main is expected to be conducted on the last week of February 2022. Students can check the official website of the exam conducting authority for updates regarding the application form, last date to apply, deadline to pay application fees, application form correction date, etc.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

The exam conducting authority will publish the eligibility criteria on the official website. To avoid rejection of the application, students are required to check the following conditions before submitting the application. 

  • Qualifying exam
  • Age limit
  • Year of passing
  • Qualifying marks

Qualifying Exam

Students who wish to apply for the JEE Main 2022 should clear the 12th grade exam or any equivalent exam. The equivalent exams include the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy exam, a diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board, Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination etc.

Age Limit

There is no age limit for the JEE Main exam.  However, students must note that the IITs can set age criteria for admissions.

Year of Passing

Those who are appearing for their 12th grade examination in 2022 are eligible to appear in the JEE Main examination. Students who cleared 12th grade in 2020 or 2021 are also eligible for this exam.

Qualifying Marks

The students should clear their Class 12 board examinations. The exam conducting authority has not set any minimum pass percentage for the JEE Main exam.

JEE Advanced 2022

Once the JEE Main results are announced, the exam conducting authority will release the date and application form for the JEE Advanced 2022. Students are advised to visit the official website of the exam conducting authority for the latest updates. Only the top 2.5 lakh students of the JEE Main are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. It needs hard work, proper planning, and preparation to crack this exam.

Students are recommended to prepare their own study plan for the exam. They should always learn according to the plan. They are requested to make their own short notes while learning each chapter so that they can refer to these notes during the revision. Mock tests and previous years’ question paper solving will definitely help students to achieve their dream come true.
