General Description

The BQ24040DSQR is a highly integrated Li-Ion charger aimed at general portable electronic components operating from USB / AC adapters. Featured 10 hour safety timer which is a sufficient solution to prevent overcharging which may do harm to the device, the BQ24040DSQR has 3 phases in charging: conditioning, continuous current and constant voltage. Besides, an internal monitor is integrated into the device to supervise and reduce charge current if the internal temperature limit is exceeded. (Concluded by Easybom)

Easybom suggests that the input supply for BQ24040DSQR should be carefully regulated in case of an overload of voltage or current. Additionally, it is recommended you run the thermal loop monitor only when the device is operating in a non-typical environment.
